Players of PSO2 become a member of a research expedition called 'Arks,' which belong to a fleet of interplanetary cruising ships, setting out to a research a variety of different planets. Visiting places for the mission (quest) always evolves into a fresh and surprising adventure, including auto-generated maps, sudden events, and a Multiplayer Party Area, where up to 12 players can play together simultaneously.
Each planet and quest is an encounter with different characters and battles with enemies. Its easy control systems allow for intense exhilaration in battles as well as highly strategic and customizable actions.
Gigantic boss enemies are also waiting for their time to challenge you with their towering body that covers the whole screen. Team up with other players against epic bosses!
SEGA announced that Phantasy Star Online 2 (Global) is receiving a large content update on February 3. The exciting changes include the new Luster Class, Max Level increase to 100, Story Quest [EP6] Chapter 6, and more.
Scion Class: Luster
The new Luster Class introduces a high-speed class equipped with Gunblades and features three combat styles: Zandi Style, Fomel Style, and Baran Style.
- Zandi Style – This is a high-speed style that is activated when a Wind or Lightning Element weapon is equipped. Most notable for its agility and proficiency with area of effect attacks.
- Fomel Style – This aggressive style of combat is activated when a weapon is equipped that has a Fire or Dark Element type. Highly effective in close combat.
- Baran Style – Activated when an Ice or Light Element weapon is equipped, the Baran Style is known for its defensive capability, due in part to its guarded abilities with long-range attacks.
To tackle this class, players must have attained at least level 75 on two different classes. Lusters can shoot an Evasion Shot, which allows them to fire off a ranged attack while moving and become invulnerable for a brief period following firing. The diverse Gunblade allows for close and ranged combat making the Luster deadly at any range and truly versatile in combat. Players can expend Luster Gunblade Focus and activate enhanced actions through defeating enemies; enhanced actions include Enhanced Attack, Enhanced Shot, and Enhanced Arts.
There are four notable Luster Class skills: Luster Voltage, Luster Counter, Luster Sidestep Guard, and Bonus attack.
- Luster Voltage – A Voltage Gauge will be added to the Sub-Palette and connecting with your attacks produce Volts. The accumulated Voltage will increase Potency and reduce damage taken. Additional Class Skills can be taken to increase Voltage accumulation rate. If there is too long of a pause between attacks, the Voltage Gauge will be reset.
- Luster Counter – If players successfully dodge with Sidestep or a Weapon Action, they'll unleash a powerful Sidestep Strike.
- Luster Sidestep Guard – While locked on, Sidestep either forward or backward in time with the enemy's attack to activate a Perfect Guard and unleash a counterattack in the direction inputted.
- Bonus Attack – Perform four Normal Attacks in a row (does not include Sidestep Strikes) to unleash a powerful attack in accordance with the current PP or Focus Gauge level.
The Epic Story of Phantasy Star Online 2 Global Continues
The battle lines have been drawn, and the Armada of Annihilation continues to gather its forces around the Mothership. The time to strike is now, before any more Luminmech can be created. Sacrifices may be required as it's going to take an all-out, coordinated attack by ARKS to annihilate Shiva – and the fate of the universe depends on the outcome.

PSO2 lets players create their own characters in an easy and intuitive way with the 'Character Creation' system.
Not only costumes, hairstyles, accessories, but also the height, body shape, and moreover, the length and thickness of arms and legs, can be customized with a morphing feature for unlimited customization and design combination.
The entire game will be made available as a F2P experience for players on Xbox One. There will be no limitations on game experiences such as Class Level cap or direct purchase of high-tier weapons because we want to provide all players with a fair and exciting experience.

The North American version of Phantasy Star Online 2 includes fully localized text and character voices in English, spanning three years of content. They can also take a break from questing by playing one of the many Casino mini-games, chilling in the Alliance Quarters, competing in the new ARKS League or attending all-new live stage events. Blacknyack is heavily based on the popular Blackjack card game, so if you’ve played it before skip to the last part of this section.For those who haven’t played before, Blackjack really only has a few simple rules that need to be understood
- Players bet before the game begins and are dealt two cards. The first card is known by everybody, the rest are kept hidden
- Cards have values to them. 2-10 are self explanatory, J/Q/K (face cards) are also 10, and Aces are either 1 or 11 depending on what benefits the hand more
- The goal is to have a higher hand than the dealer without going over 21
- Each round you can repeatedly Hit and draw a new card or Stay and keep what you have
- On the first turn you can Double Down, doubling your bet however you Hit once and are forced to Stay after that
- You cannot Hit or Double Down at 21 (Blackjack) or higher (Bust)
- If you beat the dealer you get twice what you bet, if you draw you get your money back
- If you win with 21 exactly you get a bonus (here it’s 3x instead of 1.5x)
- The dealer plays after all players are done and is forced to Hit until their cards equal at least 17
It’s a lot of words but the game is super simple, just play a round or two and you’ll get it.
So what’s different in Blacknyack?
- The dealer is an idiot and will occasionally Hit when they don’t have to
- If you get 5 cards without Busting, your hand will beat even a 21. You also get 5x your bet
- There are SP cards mixed in whose value changes. When a player draws one, it’s turned face up and a 0-4 dice is rolled. Whatever value is rolled increases the shared value of all SP cards by that amount
- If your hand has 3 SP cards without Busting it beats everything, even 5-card hands
- The reward for winning with a given number of SP cards is 1x, 3x, and 50x your bet. I’ve yet to see a report of 4 SP cards, just one is rare enough
- Multiplayer games sometimes have a Purrsuit Bonus, where the player with the highest winning hand gets a bonus of 6x their bet
This is a pretty standard Blackjack chart. To find what you should do, first check if your hand is Soft and has two possible values due to an ace. If it does use the lower table with the higher number, otherwise use the top table. Next use your hand value to choose the row and the dealer’s shown card to choose the column. The intersection lists the best action in your situation.
Normally Blackjack has a house edge and you’ll bleed money, but the dealer makes some pretty awful decisions. You’ll also make a bit extra from 5-card and SP-card bonuses. Overall this strategy is pretty safe for building up your coins
However Blacknyack isn’t Blackjack, if only there were a better strategy…

Forget you were playing Blackjack, it’s now a weird Poker variant where High Card hands belong in the trash. Every hand you’re aiming for 21, 5-cards, or maybe 3-SPs once in a blue moon. The only time you’ll hold is when it’s a truly dumb idea to hit, like at 19 or 20. If you’ve got four cards in your hand the chances are too good to not get that bonus.
